The House of White Among the Finalists for the 2026 PULSE Awards
The PULSE Architecture & Design International Awards recognize the best projects in the fields of architecture, interior design, and product design in Central Europe. The awards are presented by a jury composed of experts representing five countries: Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia.
The White House in Wola Justowska, Kraków, which we designed, received an honorable mention in the Architecture – Residential Construction category. In the next stage of the competition, the White House will compete against two other projects for the grand prize, which will be presented this fall during the PULSE conference in Prague.
Construction has begun on the “City Garden” building in Katowice
An intimate four-story building located in the heart of the city. It features 23 apartments with a total usable area of 1,116.58 m² and an underground garage with 16 parking spaces. The building’s design echoes the Nova Mikołowska Complex with its sculpted form, the rhythm of recessed loggias and terraces, and a facade finished in light-colored brick. “These elements create continuity between the two projects, while allowing the new building to retain its own, more intimate identity.”
Construction has begun on the ‘Przystanek Prądnik’ residential and commercial complex in Kraków
The project comprises four phases, which will together provide over 42,000 m² of usable floor space for residential and commercial premises (over 700 flats and around 30 commercial units). The development is situated on Meiera Street, in the up-and-coming district of Prądnik Biały. The nearby railway station currently under construction, the redevelopment of the local road network, the tram route to Górka Narodowa, 29 Listopada Avenue and the ring road will provide transport links to the city centre and beyond.
The 2026 Builder Awards for UCEES, Piotr Uherek and Marek Szpinda
The awards are presented by the monthly magazine Builder Polska to individuals and organisations playing a leading role in the Polish construction, architecture and academic sectors. We are all the more delighted that both our studio’s work and its principal architects have been recognised. UCEES received the “Construction Company of the Year 2025 – Architecture” award, whilst the studio’s owners, architects Marek Szpinda and Piotr Uherek, were honoured with the title of “Industry Personality”. Upon receiving the awards, the firm’s directors emphasised that this is a recognition for the entire UCEES team – an acknowledgement of their knowledge, experience and immense dedication.
