The designed bus terminal building, together with a parking lot for passenger cars, are to provide transportation on a park&ride basis. Bus platforms and the terminal building housing the traffic dispatchers’ rooms, a waiting room for travelers, sanitary facilities, social rooms, auxiliary rooms and the necessary technical rooms are envisaged on level 0. Parking for cars is located on level +1, which is also the roof of the bus station. The project provides for the possibility of superstructuring the parking lot by 2 floors.
The planned car parking facility, together with the bus terminal, form a horizontal arrangement of two floors, with a rectangular plan. The 3 staircases, which are independent cuboid blocks, are located on the southern, eastern and western elevations. The simplicity of the form resulting from the function is broken by the soft form of the entrance ramp to the +1 level, located along the eastern elevation. The bus terminal building, located on level 0 – used for bus transportation, is a building with one underground floor, not visible from Bronowicka Street, and accessible only from level 0.
