The centre, located in the vicinity of the Panewnicki Forest, was intended to blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. In order to integrate the body of the building into the existing ecosystem, the design work was preceded by an inventory of the arrangement of trees and bushes in order to preserve them. It was to this that we adapted the form of the building with semi-open courtyards and numerous indentations and patios. This allowed us to weave the trees into the architectural fabric.

Our aim was to create a secluded retreat on this site – moving the building away from the car park and road and hiding it among the existing greenery. The design has a strong focus on ecological aspects. We used cross-laminated timber (CLT) construction in the building, emphasising its friendly character. We also envisaged the use of natural material on the façades and in the interiors, where we have retained its natural appearance. The seafoam green wooden façade was designed to harmonise in material and colour with the forest surroundings.
