The interiors of the GeoMedical building – Medical Center received an award in the interior category at the Silesian Voivodeship Architecture of the Year 2018 competition.
The interior design of the new hospital is a perfect blend of modernity, functionality, and architectural coherence with the building’s expression. The space is designed to be easy to understand and navigate. As a 24/7 operating institution, the hospital requires exceptional clarity in its communication layout, so that patients and visitors don’t get lost in the maze of corridors. To achieve this, a color contrast has been applied, combining white with a shade of “seaside blue.”
All the key elements, such as baseboards and graphic markings, are displayed in a distinct blue color on a white background, making them easy to notice and navigate. These colorful signposts guide users through the sequences of rooms, emphasizing the direction and location they are in. Thanks to this approach, hospital visitors are directed to the right places immediately, which promotes efficiency and user comfort in navigating the space.
