The building, which is part of the urban project “Górka Narodowa,” fills the first block of the planned development from the east side. It shapes a semi-private courtyard open to the south. Commercial units have been planned in the ground floors of the southern parts. The building offers not only residential units but also accompanying functions placed in four ground-floor commercial spaces. A playground and a public park with an outdoor amphitheater have been planned.
We were looking for an architectural expression, referring to the traditions of modernism, where the characteristic elements include: bright facade planes, simple window divisions, steel railings with a straightforward design, and rational solutions in terms of detailing. The rhythm of windows on the facade, accentuated by the “recesses” of the loggias and the “protrusions” of balconies, is the primary architectural motif of the building. Additionally, as a decoration for the facade surfaces, geometric patterns based on hexagons were proposed.
